| Molk would have started every game of his collegiate career at Michigan had knee and foot injuries not cost him seven games of his sophomore season in 2009. A two-time Rimington Trophy finalist who won the award as the nation's best center in 2011, Molk is considered one of the top two or three centers available in this draft and could shoot up the board in the first round depending on a team's need at the position. He helped his cause at the NFL combine by putting up 41 reps in the 225-pound bench press, good for second overall among all participants and more than double the output of Wisconsin's Peter Konz, his primary competition at center. Molk's biggest asset is his post-snap quickness, he is probably the best pulling center in the country and has consistently shown good footwork coming off the line of scrimmage. He also doesn't lack for confidence - Molk steadfastly believes he is the best center in the country and admitted his annoyance in not being a consensus All-American this season. He may have to put on 10 pounds to thrive at the NFL level and better absorb bull rushes, something he struggles contesting at times. |
