|Whether Kinne fashions a long NFL career or never plays a down in the pros, he won't be soon forgotten in Tulsa. The three-year starter ranks second in that program's history with 81 touchdown passes and his 9,472 passing yards rank third. Kinne enjoyed probably his finest season as a junior in 2010, throwing for career highs of 3,650 yards and 31 TDs to win Conference USA offensive player of the year honors. His numbers as a senior were nearly as strong, as he completed 63.3 percent of his throws for 3,090 yards, 28 TDs and 12 interceptions to lead the Golden Hurricane to an 8-5 record - four of those losses came versus teams ranked in the top 10. Kinne's career ended with a 24-21 loss to BYU in the Armed Forces Bowl, but he performed admirably in that contest - throwing for 214 yards with three TDs and no picks. He played well in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl in January, completing 6 of 9 passes for 79 yards and added a 20-yard touchdown run. Kinne did not attend the NFL scouting combine, which reflects the fact he's not widely considered an elite prospect. If he is drafted, it will occur late. If not, he will likely land in an NFL training camp via free agency.
