| With exceptional size and athleticism, Vesely is one of the most intriguing players in this year's draft and will almost certainly be a lottery selection. The Czech Republic native was projected to be a lottery pick last year but pulled out of the draft. He has the rare combination of size and speed, and improved some of his post moves in the past year. Although Vesely has the height of a center, his skill set more closely resembles that of a small forward. He can run the floor, hit the mid-range jumper and put the ball on the court and drive the lane. Vesely also is an explosive leaper and strong rebounder. Defensively, he can cause mismatch problems because of his size, and he has excellent footwork and speed. Vesely is fundamentally sound and rarely finds himself out of position or making a mental mistake. Although he seems to be the complete package, Vesely needs to add some weight. Until he muscles up, Vesely could still be a couple of years away from reaching his full potential. The lack of bulk isn't a major concern, however, and Vesely will likely be a top 10 pick. |
