| After being the first player in program history to be named Preseason Big 12 Freshman of the Year, Brown started all 34 games for Baylor and finished the season as one of the team's most efficient scorers. |
| The 6-foot-8 freshman was a key contributor alongside Matthew Mayer and Flo Thamba in a frontcourt that helped the Bears to a 27-7 record. |
| He averaged 9.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists and shot 58.4 percent from the field in his only season in college. |
| Strengths: One of the most explosive players on the draft board. Has parlayed good size with premier athleticism to become a threat in transition. Strong ability to finish in the paint, even while heavily contested. Crafty with the ball in his hands. Can change directions on a dime, allowing him to cut to the hoop for high-percentage shots. Impactful on the defensive end with the ability to guard nearly any position on the floor. Performs defensive switches effectively. His 6-foot-11 wingspan helps him take away passing lanes. Great lateral quickness. Also sees the floor well and has the tendency to make the right pass at the right time. |
| Weaknesses: Does not have a quick release when shooting the ball. Has difficulty creating his own shot in isolation situations. Could score more points in a set offense, as a good portion of his points come in transition. Likely will not evolve into a dependable scorer. Needs to crash the glass more often. Became quiet at the end of his only season at Baylor, scoring in double figures in just two of his final seven games. |
