Scouting Report

Minott wasn't highly productive during his one college season and played just 14.6 minutes per game.
He averaged 6.6 points and 3.8 rebounds while also contributing 27 steals and 22 blocked shots in 33 games (five starts).
Minott shot 52.2 percent from the field but took just 14 3-point shots (making two). His potential makes him a late second-round draft choice.
Strengths: Versatile enough to play either shooting guard or small forward with his 6-8 size making him a good fit for either spot. Has a lot of athleticism and should be able to match up fine with NBA guards. Adept at driving to the hoop in rapid fashion. Plays hard with good energy that will serve him well at the next level. Earned raves for unselfish play and enjoys passing the ball. Potentially a late bloomer type as he was below the radar until his senior year of high school. Some team will see an opportunity to help him develop into a capable player.
Weaknesses: Offensive fundamentals and techniques need a lot of work. Even needs some smoothing out of his form on layups. His shooting may come around but it isn't up to NBA standards at this point. He will have to attempt more 3-pointers and last season's small sample size doesn't provide a barometer per whether his accuracy will come around. The bigger small forwards around the league may pose him problems on the defensive end. Will need to bulk up from 205 pounds to deal with the physical nature of the game and to be an effective rebounder. Another season of college ball would have served him better than coming out after one so-so campaign.
