Scouting Report
| Mobley will be looking to follow in the footsteps of his brother, Evan, who also played college ball at Southern California before beginning his NBA career. |
| The former No. 1 recruit in the state of California has the chance to do so after steadily improving in each of his three seasons with the Trojans. After playing just over 20 minutes per game in his freshman season, Mobley was averaging 34.1 by the end of his career at USC. |
| He averaged 14.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and shot 44.5 percent from the field and 35.2 percent from 3-point range in his final season of college. |
| Strengths: A calm and collected scorer who is very active in the post. Has a good face-up game and is adept from outside the paint. Has shown potential as a 3-point shooter. Good shooting form. Strong on the glass. Comfortable with the ball in his hand, especially for a player with his frame. Can take the ball coast to coast. Distributes the ball well and has proven that he can be a playmaker. Defensive contributions comemostly in the form of blocks. |
| Weaknesses: Does not have great speed or quickness. Has to get stronger, which will make it easier to score while taking contact. Should try to use his size more rather than planting himself outside the key. Is not a good free throw shooter. Tends to be passive on the offensive end. Struggles defensively in pick-and-roll situations. Sometimes gets bullied in the post by bigger, stronger opponents. |
