| LaRavia played one season for Wake Forest after transferring from Indiana State, helping resurrect the Demon Deacons from recent seasons of doldrums. |
| He averaged 14.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists during his season with Wake Forest. Combined with two seasons for Indiana State, he eclipsed the 1,000-point mark in his career (aided by the 12.5 points per game as an Indiana State sophomore). He was dubbed Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week twice during the league portion of the schedule. |
| He probably benefited from the presence of teammate Alondes Williams, who was named the ACC Player of the Year. That meant that LaRavia could excel in his role. Even with three college seasons under his belt, he won't turn 21 until November. |
| Strengths: He can score in a variety of ways and receives good grades on having a solid basketball IQ. He has a nice shooting touch, and it's difficult to tell where he's most comfortable because his production comes in a variety of ways. He seems comfortable fitting into whatever role he's called upon to fill. He shot 38.4 percent on 3s and that's a number that could rise even with the pro 3-point arc. On defense, he was crafty enough to come up with 55 steals last season. |
| Weaknesses: He'll need to show that he knows when to become more assertive because there might be the tendency to allow others to dictate how he's going to influence a game. He's not going to wow observers with quickness, and so finding the ideal matchups for him defensively might be a challenge. If he's called upon for more ball handling, how he'll adjust is a bit of an unknown. He has a strong frame, but he'll have to demonstrate that he has the physicality to contend with athletic pro players. |
