| Overview |
| A generation ago, Queta might have had star potential as a mountain of a man who could clog up the paint and deliver rim-shaking dunks. The game has evolved, and centers are not in demand as much as they used to be, but there still is a place for players such as Queta. His size is undeniable, and with the right mix of players around him, he could be a difference maker off the bench. |
| Analysis |
| Positives: Queta averaged a double-double in his final season with Utah State, posting 14.9 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. He shot 55.9 percent from the field and 70.7 percent from the free-throw line, showing that he has decent touch if opponents try to hack at him. He showed that he can help on defense, averaging 1.1 steals and a whopping 3.3 blocks per game as a junior. |
| Negatives: Queta is imposing, but he also will be slow-footed compared with other NBA players. Will he be able to work on his quickness? Could he be the type of player who comes off the bench and is whistled for two fouls in five minutes? His potential is intriguing and worthy of a draft pick, but Queta projects as more of a down-the-road prospect who will not necessarily step in on day one and help a team collect wins. |
