| OVERVIEW |
| Alston is proof positive that a rough freshman year doesn't always have to lead to a poor career or transferring out of town. After playing just 11 games and scoring only seven points, he left the Broncos' program as their 10th-best scorer with 1,479 points. |
| Alston was the first priority on most opponents' scouting reports and aside from getting shut out in the season opener at Houston, a Final Four team, he was able to deliver. He averaged 17 ppg, sinking 38.2 percent on 3-pointers and canning 85.6 percent at the foul line. |
| Alston is capable of getting scalding hot for stretches and carrying a team through a game. He averaged 26.3 ppg in one four-game span in February. Three of those games were against the Mountain West's two NCAA teams - Utah State and San Diego State. |
| Alston's frame allows him the ability to get shots off over nearly every defender and he also possesses the skill to score off the bounce. He should be able to play multiple positions, which could help him secure a job. |

| Positives: Good shooter from distance who can also score off the dribble and is nearly automatic at the foul line. Has the athletic ability to play multiple positions and works hard on defense. |
| Negatives: Alston has had turnover problems in the past, although he cut down on turnovers as a senior. His shooting percentages of 41.3 and 44.4 the last two years leads to questions about his shot selection. He averaged 1.5 fewer rebounds per game as a senior. |
