(AP) -- Eric Bledsoe recently said his college team could beat the Philadelphia 76ers. Whether facing the player who provided that bulletin board material can help push them over the winless hump will be settled Friday night.
Far from pushovers lately despite remaining the league's worst team by a wide margin, the 76ers can make Bledsoe eat his words as his Phoenix Suns continue a road trip on which they've had trouble putting away supposedly inferior teams.
Bledsoe, the starting point guard for Kentucky as a freshman in 2009-10 before going pro, said Wednesday that the currently top-ranked Wildcats would beat Philadelphia in a seven-game series. A day earlier, they beat fifth-ranked Kansas by 32.
