Dallas to play in Spain

DALLAS (AP) The Dallas Mavericks will play in Spain and Germany this fall as part of an NBA overseas tour.

The league announced Thursday the Mavericks will take on FC Barcelona Regal as part of the sixth-annual NBA Europe Live tour in early October.

Dallas will join the Boston Celtics in Europe for four preseason exhibition games as part of the interleague series between NBA and Euroleague teams. The Mavs' first stop will be Dirk Nowitzki's home country, where they will play eight-time German champions Alba Berlin on Oct. 6. Dallas will finish its leg of the tour in Barcelona on Oct. 9 playing the 17-time Spanish champions at the Palau Sant Jordi arena.

Boston will play in Istanbul against Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul and in Milan against EA7 Emporio Armani.
