Analysis: The 3-point specialist hasn't had any setbacks but the Magic will proceed with caution considering Meeks' lost 2015-16 season, in which a fractured right foot limited him to just three games with Detroit.

Analysis: The Magic said Meeks will be sidelined indefinitely, and the procedure could sideline the 3-point specialist for the early portion of the regular season. He missed nearly the entire 2015-16 campaign after fracturing the same foot in October, though he did play in Detroit's regular-season finale as well as one playoff game. The Magic acquired Meeks from the Pistons in late June.
