Analysis: Friday's move comes after Crittenton scored just 13 points on 4 of 17 shooting in four exhibition games. The Bobcats signed Crittenton to a non-guaranteed contract last month, hoping he could provide depth in the backcourt. Crittenton missed all of last season after two surgeries on his left ankle. He was also suspended for the final 38 games after he and Arenas took guns into the Washington Wizards locker room following a dispute over a card game.

"It's a blessing to be out here playing,'' Crittenton said. "I'm cherishing every moment of it - every moment."
Analysis: Crittenton didn't anticipate that in three years he'd go from first-round pick of the Los Angeles Lakers to scrambling to make an NBA roster with a non-guaranteed deal. Crittenton, a reserve who was out of the season with a bum ankle, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor gun charge in January and received probation after a gun incident with Washington superstar Gilbert Arenas.

Analysis: Agent Mark Bartelstein said Wednesday Crittenton has accepted a training-camp invite and is healthy following left ankle surgery. Crittenton didn't play last season because of the injury and then a 38-game suspension after he and Arenas acknowledged bringing guns into the locker room following a dispute stemming from a card game.
