"You always try to find a bright spot, and that's definitely a bright spot. Analysis: Hughes was hurt in the third quarter of Chicago's 85-75 preseason win at Minnesota on Wednesday night. He was initially expected to be out six to eight weeks, but said Thursday he might miss considerably less time after X-rays and an initial MRI showed no damage. Hughes said the shoulder was sore but not causing him any pain. When he returns, he'll be fighting for playing time in a crowded backcourt featuring Kirk Hinrich, Ben Gordon and No. 1 draft pick Derrick Rose. |
