Westbrook pulled down 13 rebounds and had nine assists, accumulating a plus-minus of -18 in his 36:01 of playing time. He tacked on two steals. Westbrook went 1 of 5 from 3-point range.
Analysis: Utah's tough defense really put the clamps on the reigning NBA MVP, though he still managed his usually prolific rebound and assist numbers. Westbrook was held to single-digit points just once during his tremendous 2016-17 campaign, and that came in a meaningless finale in which he played just 18 minutes.

Westbrook pulled down 10 rebounds and dished out 16 assists, accumulating a plus-minus of +29 in his 33:17 of playing time. He added one block.
Analysis: Westbrook looks like he might be scoring less with Paul George and Carmelo Anthony on board. He only took 12 shots but finished with a triple-double. He's still likely to get many of those.
Sep. 29 12:28 PM PT1:28 PM MT2:28 PM CT3:28 PM ET19:28 GMT3:28 12:28 PM MST2:28 PM EST23:28 UAE21:2815:28 ET2:28 PM CTNaN: - Westbrook once again signaled his loyalty to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday when the reigning NBA MVP signed a five-year, $205 million deal. The deal begins with the 2018-19 season, and puts Westbrook under contract with the Thunder through the 2022-23 campaign.
Analysis: Westbrook is coming off a historic season in which he averaged 31.6 points, 10.7 rebounds and 10.4 assists and set an NBA record with 42 triple-doubles. He broke the mark of Oscar Robertson (1962) and joined the Hall of Famer as the only players to average a triple-double over an entire season. The six-time All-Star won his second scoring crown and scored 40 or more points on 18 occasions.
