Harrisburg upsets New England in US Open Cup

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) Andrew Marshall scored in the fifth round of penalty kicks, and the Harrisburg City Islanders of the USL Pro Division knocked off the New England Revolution 4-3 on penalties after a 3-3 draw in the third round of the U.S. Open Cup on Tuesday night.

Harrisburg rallied from a 3-0 deficit in the second half to defeat the MLS's Revolution in a game delayed 30 minutes due to rain. The City Islanders capped the comeback when goalkeeper Nick Noble stopped New England's Benny Feilhaber on the last penalty kick.

Harrisburg advances to face New York of the MLS. The Red Bulls defeated the Charleston Battery, also of the USL Pro Division, 3-0 on Tuesday.

Feilhaber scored to give New England the 3-0 lead before the hosts rallied. J.T. Noone, Sainey Touray, and Brian Ombiji scored to tie it for Harrisburg.

The game was scoreless at halftime.
