Blue Jays put Lawrie on DL
TORONTO (AP) The Toronto Blue Jays have placed third baseman Brett Lawrie on the 15-day disabled list.
Lawrie - who has a possible rib cage injury - is on the DL retroactive to Aug. 4.
On Wednesday, Lawrie missed his fourth consecutive game.
Lawrie had an MRI on Tuesday night that showed some oblique inflammation.
