Angels' Trout scratched with bruised left knee

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) Los Angeles Angels rookie Mike Trout, the AL batting leader, did not start in Sunday's series finale against the Tampa Bay Rays because of a sore left knee.
The injury occurred in the third inning of the Angels' 3-0 loss on Saturday night, when Trout leaped against the fence in left-center field while trying to make a play on a home run by Ben Zobrist. He stayed in the game and went 0 for 4.
Trout entered Sunday hitting .350 with 16 homers, 33 RBIs a major league-leading 31 stolen bases following his promotion from Triple-A Salt Lake on April 28.
