He was placed on the 10-day disabled list Friday with inflammation related to gout, forcing him out of his start Saturday against Kansas City.
Analysis: Griffin is coming off his best start in two seasons with Texas. He allowed one hit with eight strikeouts in six innings Monday at Oakland. Griffin is 2-0 with a 4.11 ERA.

Analysis: Griffin was much better than in his first two starts, where he gave up seven runs over just 9 1/3 innings - one of which was an ugly outing against his former team.

Analysis: Griffin fared much better than he did during his season debut, when he was tagged for four runs in 3 1/3 innings in a no-decision against Oakland. He'll face the A's again in his next start, though this time in the more pitching-friendly confines of the Oakland Coliseum.
|Apr. 8 10:28 AM PT11:28 AM MT12:28 PM CT1:28 PM ET13:28 ET17:28 GMT1:28 10:28 AM MST12:28 PM EST12:58 PM VEN21:28 UAE12:28 PM CT-Griffin exited Friday's start against Oakland with one out in the fourth inning after scraping his pitching hand and both of his knees attempting to back up a throw near the A's dugout. The right-hander allowed four runs and a pair of homers before departing.
Analysis: Griffin figures to be able to make his next scheduled start, though he's mostly a desperation fantasy option after posting a 5.07 ERA and surrendering 28 homers in 119 innings a season ago.
