Analysis: Smyly, who was 07 with a 7.01 ERA during his drought, allowed two runs in six innings against the Yankees.

Analysis: Smyly has a 7.60 ERA over 10 starts during his losing streak. James Shields was the last Tampa Bay pitcher to drop seven in a row during a single season in 2010. Oakland has lost 10 of its last 11 games started by a lefthanded opposing pitcher.

Needless to say, he's not a viable fantasy option right now.

The Rays argued for $3.2 million. Smyly was 52 with a 3.11 ERA in 12 starts during a 2015 season cut short by a torn labrum in midAugust.
