Analysis: Mastroianni injured his ankle on Monday night against the Los Angeles Angels and was a late scratch on Tuesday when he couldn't run on it. He left Target Field in a walking boot and will be replaced on the roster by outfielder Oswaldo Arcia. Arcia was sent to Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday after a one-game call-up in place of Wilkin Ramirez, who was on paternity leave.
