New York's team batting average is just .202 over the last 12 games. Mets manager Terry Collins put Brown in the outfield and had him batting eighth. Analysis: Brown, who signed a minor league contract as a free agent last winter, hit .367 with two homers and 27 RBIs in 25 games for Las Vegas. Brown had a .224 average with five homers and 14 RBIs in a combined 134 at-bats with St. Louis in 2011 and Colorado last year. |
