Analysis: Hale said De La Rosa's health is fine though his elbow has bothered him, and he exited Wednesday's start in the second inning. Braden Shipley will take De La Rosa's rotation spot. ''I just want to feel 100 percent ready,'' De La Rosa said.

Analysis: De La Rosa (4-4, 3.53 ERA) is 4-1 with a 1.87 ERA in his last six appearances, including five starts. He yielded one run in 7 1/3 innings in a 5-1 win against Colorado on May 10.

Analysis: De La Rosa (4-4, 3.93 ERA) gave up one run in 7 1/3 innings while bouncing back from his only loss in his last five appearances. The Arizona right-hander gave up four runs in 5 2/3 innings in a 4-3 defeat in Miami on May 4 after going 3-0 with 0.64 ERA in his previous three games.

Analysis: The Diamondbacks' right-hander picked up the pace between pitches and tossed a gem, striking out a career-high 10 and allowing two hits over seven innings as Arizona beat the St. Louis Cardinals 3-0. De La Rosa had been shaky this year and was sent to the bullpen to make up for innings lost from short starts, but he turned in his second straight strong start.
