He seems to have a favorable upcoming matchup Tuesday at home against Oakland. Duffy is 3-0 with a 2.59 ERA against the A's, and he's 6-0 with a 3.38 ERA at home this year.

Analysis: Duffy remained unbeaten since June 6 despite saying he didn't have his "best stuff." The southpaw has won all five of his starts in August behind a 1.18 ERA, and his 2.66 ERA for the season ranks second in the AL. His next scheduled start is Saturday in Boston, a team against which he's 0-3 with a 5.61 ERA in five outings.

Analysis: ''I think no walks is more of a win for me than anything, outside of the team winning,'' said Duffy, who had gone eight innings just once before. ''I don't know. Nothing fazes me anymore.''
