Analysis: Miller, a 2015 All-Star with Atlanta, has been among this season's biggest disappointments by compiling a 2-9 record and 7.14 ERA in 14 starts. The Diamondbacks traded 2015 No. 1 overall pick Dansby Swanson, outfielder Ender Inciarte and pitcher Aaron Blair to the Braves in December for the 25-year-old, who had been expected to slot in as the team's No. 2 starter behind Zack Greinke.

Analysis: Miller held the Padres scoreless before allowing five runs in the fourth. The right-hander fell to 2-9 overall and 0-7 at Chase Field, where he has a 7.50 ERA. Miller has been tagged for 18 runs and 26 hits in 17 innings in his last three outings overall.
