Analysis: It's the first two runs the Tommy John survivor has permitted in eight innings this season. After missing all of 2016 recovering from the surgery, Holland is making himself an early front-runner for Comeback Player of the Year honors.

Analysis: Holland missed the 2016 season following right elbow surgery. ''I feel healthy. If I feel healthy, I fully expect to do what they ask of me. I'm not worried about getting back to a certain level of getting back to where I was in `12 or `13 or whatever year,'' Holland said. ''I just want to be successful here today and fortunately I was today.''

Analysis: Holland got Ryan Braun to bounce into a game-ending, 5-4-3 double play that started after third baseman Nolan Arenado dove to his left and threw to second while on his right knee. The out at first was confirmed on a video review, giving Holland his first save since Sept. 17, 2015, for Kansas City against Cleveland. His previous major league appearance was the following day against Detroit. The right-hander missed the 2016 season because of the elbow injury.

Analysis: The former All-Star closer was clocked between 91 and 92 mph, considerably down from his top years with the Kansas City Royals. Still, Holland was pleased with the outcome. "I felt good and the ball was coming out of my hands," he said. "I am not worried about my velocity as far as that goes. I am more worried about how I feel when I release the ball and if everything is working." The 31-year-old is expected to open the season as Colorado's closer.
