Analysis: Bell was batting .381 with nine doubles, a triple, four home runs and 30 RBIs in 26 games for Reno. The 25-year-old switch-hitter was in Arizona's starting lineup against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday night. Bell, 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds, appeared in 79 major league games for Baltimore from 2010-11. He was acquired from the Orioles on April 21 for Mike Belfiore. Bell was a fourth-round draft pick of the Dodgers in 2005. |

Analysis: The Orioles designated Bell for assignment on Monday when they claimed Luis Exposito off waivers from Boston. The 25-year-old is hitting .094 with three RBIs in nine games at Triple-A Norfolk. All three of his hits this season have been for extra bases - two doubles and a home run. Bell hit .200 over parts of two seasons with the Orioles, with five doubles, three homers and 18 RBIs in 79 games. |
