Analysis: Igarashi, who turned 33 Monday, allowed four earned runs in one inning over two appearances this season with the Blue Jays, who brought him up May 25 and designated him two days later. He was 5-2 with a 5.74 ERA in 79 relief appearances with the Mets in 2010-11, spent spring training this year with Pittsburgh and was acquired by the Blue Jays on March 30. He was 1-1 with a 1.29 ERA and four saves at Triple-A Las Vegas. |

Analysis: The 32-year-old Igarashi signed a minor league contract with Pittsburgh on Dec. 19. He was released by the New York Mets last October. Igarashi had an 8.68 ERA in nine games with the Pirates during spring training. He was 4-1 with one save and a 4.66 ERA in 45 relief appearances last year for the Mets. |
