Analysis: Acquired via waivers last week, Sutton homered for the first time since Oct. 3, 2010, lifting the Pirates to their sixth walkoff win of the season, the first via a home run. |

General manager Neal Huntington said Sutton could play any infield position or in the corner outfield spots. Analysis: It was the second time in five weeks Pittsburgh claimed Sutton, who has appeared in 104 games over parts of four seasons with Cincinnati, Cleveland, Boston and Tampa Bay. The Pirates claimed Sutton from the Braves organization May 20 but traded him to the Rays the next day. Sutton, who will report to the Pirates later this week, hit .271 with six RBIs in 48 at bats for Tampa Bay before being designated for assignment Friday. |

Analysis: Sutton has hit .270 in 38 games with Triple-A Gwinnett. Sutton played 86 games in the major leagues from 2009-2011 for the Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians and Boston Red Sox. He hit .315 in 54 at-bats with the Red Sox last year, then signed a minor league deal with the Braves in the offseason. |
