Analysis: The 32-year-old right-hander made $1.25 million last season. He had asked for $1,945,000 in arbitration and had been offered $1.46 million. He was 3-2 with a 2.16 ERA in 66 appearances with the Diamondbacks and Oakland last season. He came to Arizona on July 31 in a trade that sent first baseman Brandon Allen and left-handed reliever Jordan Noberto to Oakland.
