Analysis: The newly acquired Colorado Rockies pitcher was taken to the hospital following his start Friday night against the Los Angeles Dodgers after struggling to catch his breath. Jurrjens said X-rays and blood work revealed nothing out of the ordinary and his shortness of breath may simply be due to the altitude.

Analysis: The Rockies acquired the 28-year-old Jurrjens in a trade with Cincinnati on Wednesday. Jurrjens signed a minor league deal with the Reds on May 20 and made six starts for Triple-A Louisville, going 2-3 with a 4.46 ERA. Jurrjens last pitched in the big leagues on June 29, 2013, when he was with Baltimore.

Analysis: Jurrjens signed a minor league contract with Cincinnati in May, and was 2-3 with a 4.46 ERA at Triple-A Louisville. He has a 53-37 record with a 3.63 ERA in seven major league seasons, including five with Atlanta. He last pitched in the majors in 2013, appearing in two games with Baltimore.
