Bailey was charged with three earned runs and five hits in his only inning. After the game, he and Reds manager Bryan Price said Bailey has dealt with recent bicep tenderness.
Analysis: Since making his season debut July 31 following Tommy John surgery, the right-hander has gone 2-3 with a 6.65 ERA in six starts.

Analysis: Bailey gave up five runs in only three innings at Pittsburgh on Aug. 6, and then threw six scoreless innings at Milwaukee in his next start. ''We're seeing what we expected to see,'' manager Bryan Price said of Bailey, who has made five starts since returning from Tommy John surgery. ''Some days, he's electric and sharp. Some days, there's fatigue and achiness and you're not going to have your grade-A stuff.''

Analysis: This was by far the best of Bailey's outings since his return from the DL. The right-hander, who allowed five runs and eight hits in three-plus innings against Pittsburgh in his previous start, next faces Miami at home Wednesday.
