Analysis: Now 3-2 with a 2.45 ERA in seven starts since rejoining the rotation in late August, Jimenez is suddenly making a case to start if the Orioles wind up in Tuesday's AL Wild Card Game. There's a very good chance that game could come against the Blue Jays.

He tossed a two-hitter against Tampa Bay in his previous start on Sept. 5, serving up a three-run homer to Logan Morrison in the first inning while walking one in a 7-3 win.

Analysis: He allowed three runs and five hits over 6 2/3 innings in a 5-3 win over the Blue Jays on Tuesday. The two starts has lowered his ERA from 6.94 to 6.46. Jimenez will remain in the rotation until Chris Tillman is ready to return from right shoulder bursitis.
