Analysis: Lester, the NLCS co-MVP, fell to 2-1 with a 1.69 ERA in four starts this postseason.
Oct. 24 1:10 PM PT2:10 PM MT3:10 PM CT4:10 PM ET16:10 ET20:10 GMT4:10 1:10 PM MST3:10 PM EST3:40 PM VEN0:10 UAE (+1)3:10 PM CT-Fresh off being named co-MVP of the NLCS, Lester will take the mound for the Cubs in Tuesday's Game 1 of the World Series at Cleveland.
Analysis: It's an obvious choice after Lester started the opener in both the NLDS and NLCS and Chicago won each game. The experienced left-hander has been sensational during the Cubs' pennant run, going 2-0 in three starts and yielding only two runs over 21 innings. Lester, who pitched twice in relief against the Indians in the 2007 ALCS while with Boston, is 4-0 with a 1.64 ERA in seven starts against Cleveland since 2011.
Oct. 22 8:55 PM PT9:55 PM MT10:55 PM CT11:55 PM ET23:55 ET3:55 GMT11:55 8:55 PM MST10:55 PM EST11:25 PM VEN7:55 UAE (+1)10:55 PM CT-Lester and teammate Javier Baez were named co-MVPs of the NLCS.
Analysis: Lester, one of baseball's most accomplished playoff performers, went 1-0 with a 1.38 ERA in two starts against Los Angeles. He's 8-6 with a 2.42 ERA in 17 career playoff starts with the Red Sox, A's and Cubs.
Oct. 21 9:31 AM PT10:31 AM MT11:31 AM CT12:31 PM ET12:31 ET16:31 GMT0:31 9:31 AM MST11:31 AM EST12:01 PM VEN20:31 UAE11:31 AM CT-Lester put the Cubs one win away from ending their epic World Series drought by holding the Dodgers to one run and five hits over seven sharp innings in Thursday's Game 5 victory in the NLCS.
Analysis: The experienced left-hander has been magnificent during Chicago's postseason run, having yielded just two runs and 14 hits over 21 innings while going 2-0 in three starts. The Cubs hope Lester will have a couple more outings left as they try to close out the series Saturday at Wrigley Field.
Oct. 16 10:01 PM PT11:01 PM MT12:01 AM CT1:01 AM ET1:01 ET5:01 GMT13:01 10:01 PM MST12:01 AM EST12:31 AM VEN9:01 UAE12:01 AM CT-Lester gave up just a solo homer in six innings of the Cubs' 8-4 win over the Dodgers in Game 1 of the NLCS.
Analysis: Lester was pulled for a pinch hitter but clearly could have kept going. He's been nearly untouchable for months and Saturday was no different.
Oct. 13 2:35 PM PT3:35 PM MT4:35 PM CT5:35 PM ET17:35 ET21:35 GMT5:35 2:35 PM MST4:35 PM EST5:05 PM VEN1:35 UAE (+1)4:35 PM CT-Lester will start Game 1 of the NLCS.
Analysis: Lester pitched eight sparkling innings in the Cubs' 1-0 victory over San Francisco in their playoff opener last Friday. This should line him up to start Game 5 as well and perhaps pitch out of the bullpen if needed in Game 7.
Oct. 8 9:36 PM PT10:36 PM MT11:36 PM CT12:36 AM ET0:36 ET4:36 GMT12:36 9:36 PM MST11:36 PM EST12:06 AM VEN8:36 UAE11:36 PM CT-Lester was strong in Game 1 on Friday, yielding five hits without a walk and striking out five in eight innings of the 1-0 victory over the Giants.
Analysis: Lester threw only 86 pitches so he should be fresh if needed to throw again in this series.
Oct. 4 2:29 PM PT3:29 PM MT4:29 PM CT5:29 PM ET17:29 ET21:29 GMT5:29 2:29 PM MST4:29 PM EST4:59 PM VEN1:29 UAE (+1)4:29 PM CT-The Cubs announced that Lester would start Game 1 of the NLDS on Friday at Wrigley Field.
Analysis: Lester (19-5) had a 2.44 ERA to rank second in the majors to teammate Kyle Hendricks, who will start Game 2. Lester is only 6-6 in 14 playoff starts despite a solid 2.85 ERA, though he lost both postseason outings last season with a 4.50 ERA.

Analysis: Lester failed to become a 20-game winner. Since the All-Star break, he'd won a career-high 10 straight decisions. In September, he allowed a total of two runs while winning all five starts. Lester had allowed one run or none in a club-record eight straight starts heading into Saturday.

Analysis: Lester struck out seven while lowering his ERA to 2.28, second lowest in the majors behind his teammate Kyle Hendricks (2.06), another candidate for the NL Cy Young Award. Lester hasn't allowed more than two runs in a start since July 24 against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Sep. 21 1:54 PM PT2:54 PM MT3:54 PM CT4:54 PM ET16:54 ET20:54 GMT4:54 1:54 PM MST3:54 PM EST4:24 PM VEN0:54 UAE (+1)3:54 PM CT-Lester gave up a run and six hits while striking out five and walking none over seven innings in Tuesday's 6-1 win over the Reds.
