Analysis: The ejections came after umpire Dan Iassogna called two balls on pitches from A.J. Burnett to Braves pitcher Kris Medlen in the fourth inning on Monday night. Burnett complained about the ball one call, and Iassogna stepped in front of the plate to warn the right-hander.

Pittsburgh's new catcher says he will not play for Team Canada in the World Baseball Classic because Canadian and Pirates officials don't feel comfortable with him moving from his normal position.
Analysis: Martin, who is from East York, Ontario, said Sunday he would rather not tax his body by catching during the WBC. The three-time All-Star was drafted as a third baseman by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2002 before he was moved to catcher. Martin said last week he was looking forward to playing shortstop for Team Canada. The 30-year-old signed a $17 million, two-year contract with the Pirates in December and he now try to get familiar with Pittsburgh's staff.
Feb. 21 2:45 PM PT3:45 PM MT4:45 PM CT5:45 PM ET17:45 ET22:45 GMT6:45 CST3:45 PM MST5:45 PM EST6:15 PM VEN2:45 UAE (+1)4:45 PM CT-Pittsburgh Pirates catcher Russell Martin is looking forward to switching things up for the World Baseball Classic. Martin will move from catcher to shortstop for Team Canada when the tournament begins next month. It's a refreshing change for the 30-year-old, who began his professional career as a third baseman before being moved to catcher while still in the minors.
Analysis: The three-time All-Star says moonlighting at short will break-up the repetition of spring training. He says he wasn't interested in catching for Canada because he didn't really want to try to master a pitching staff he didn't know that well. Martin already has his hands full trying to get a read on Pittsburgh's rotation. Martin signed a two-year, $17 million deal with the Pirates in the offseason and says he thinks the team can win now.
