Analysis: Eveland arrived Thursday morning, less than 24 hours after manager Buck Showalter used five relievers in a 10-1 loss to Tampa Bay. Starter Miguel Gonzalez didn't make it out of the third inning, leaving Showalter in need of a long man for Thursday's afternoon game against the Rays. Eveland went 0-1 with a 4.73 ERA in 14 games with the Orioles from May 11-July 15. |
