Boston recalled RHP Mark Melancon from Triple-A Pawtucket to replace Hill in the bullpen and activated him for Sunday's game against the Washington Nationals. Analysis: Hill, who had Tommy John surgery on the elbow a year ago, will be examined on Monday. Hill (1-0) has made 17 relief appearances this season and has an ERA of 2.63 ERA over 13 2-3 innings. |
