Analysis: Cedeno is scheduled to be in the lineup for Double-A Lake Elsinore on Saturday night. Cedeno, 30, most recently was with the Houston Astros, who designated him for assignment last Sunday. Besides the Astros, Cedeno also has played for the Chicago Cubs, Seattle, Pittsburgh and the New York Mets.

Analysis: The 30-year-old Cedeno is an eight-year major league veteran who hit .259 in 78 games with the New York Mets last season. He is in the Astros' lineup for Sunday's exhibition game against the Miami Marlins.
