Analysis: Cain left the game with a 3-1 lead but wound up with a no-decision when the Padres scored six runs off the San Francisco bullpen in the sixth. The oft-injured veteran continues to show a resurgence, as he's 2-0 with a sparkling 1.17 ERA over his last four starts.
Apr. 25 9:52 AM PT10:52 AM MT11:52 AM CT12:52 PM ET12:52 ET16:52 GMT0:52 9:52 AM MST11:52 AM EST12:22 PM VEN20:52 UAE11:52 AM CT-Cain gave up just two hits in six scoreless innings Monday to beat the Dodgers, but he had to leave with a strained hamstring and took a liner off his right foot.
Analysis: Cain pulled himself from the game, fearing a balky hamstring that had lingered in 2016 had started acting up again. However, after the game, Cain reported his hamstring was already feeling better, and X-rays on his foot were negative. The veteran right-hander has surrendered a total of two runs in his last three starts - a span of 18 innings.

Cain (1-0) overcame a shaky start after allowing a run in the first inning and retired 10 of 11 during one stretch. The right-hander struck out six and walked three before leaving after giving up a leadoff double and a walk to open the sixth.
Apr. 8 12:53 PM PT1:53 PM MT2:53 PM CT3:53 PM ET15:53 ET19:53 GMT3:53 12:53 PM MST2:53 PM EST3:23 PM VEN23:53 UAE2:53 PM CT-Cain lasted only 4 1/3 innings in his season debut while not receiving a decision in the Giants' loss at San Diego. The injury-plagued right-hander allowed two homers and four runs and walked three prior to departing.
Analysis: Cain has posted lousy ERAs of 5.64 and 5.79 in the past two seasons, and Friday's effort doesn't inspire confidence that the 32-year-old is primed for a bounce-back in 2017.
