Analysis: Playing with a back condition called spinal stenosis since he returned from a long layoff in late August last season, Wright has homered in his last three games. General manager Sandy Alderson said the team is a little concerned about its captain, and Wright was examined by a doctor Saturday.

It was the first game action of the spring for Wright, who says he was itching to get on the field, but also was nervous.
Analysis: The Mets third baseman was limited to 38 regular-season games last season because of a hamstring injury and spinal stenosis, a narrowing of the spinal canal. After hurting his right leg April 14, he returned Aug. 24, and he was able to play in all 14 of the Mets postseason games as they reached the World Series for the first time since 2000.
