Analysis: The 36-year-old left-hander was 4-6 with a 4.76 ERA in 15 starts last season for Tampa Bay, where new Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman head of baseball operations. The Rays designated Bedard for assignment in July.

Analysis: The Rays worked out a deal with the Rays on Friday morning. He's expected to report to spring training in the next couple of days. The 34-year-old lefty went 4-12 with a 4.59 ERA for Houston. Bedard is 67-76 overall in 10 seasons with Baltimore, Seattle, Boston, Pittsburgh and Houston. This will be his fifth team in four years.
