Analysis: Springs exited his start against the Red Sox on Thursday in the fourth inning because of the injury to his left arm. He had been off to an outstanding start to the season, winning his first two starts while striking out 19 and yielding just three hits and four walks over 13 scoreless innings. Taj Bradley presumably will remain in Tampa Bay's rotation with Springs sidelined. |
