To make room for the newcomers, San Francisco sent first baseman Brett Pill to Triple-A Fresno and designated reliever Ramon Ramirez for assignment.
Analysis: Sanchez began the season with the Giants before being sent down. He hit .320 in 19 games with Fresno and gives the Giants added depth behind the plate. San Francisco is in the middle of a stretch in which it will play 36 games in 37 days.
