He's the 16th pitcher in major league history to post that sort of roller-coaster line and go at least five, according to the Rockies.
Analysis: Chatwood walked a batter in every frame and left after throwing 97 pitches, just 51 of them for strikes. His next start is Friday against the Mets at Citi Field. He last faced them May 15, allowing three runs and six hits in seven innings at Coors Field. However, Chatwood has been outstanding on the road, going 5-0 with a 1.30 ERA in eight starts.

Analysis: Chatwood is 3-6 with a 6.26 ERA in Denver and 5-0 with a 1.30 ERA on the road. His next scheduled start is at home Sunday against Atlanta.

Analysis: Chatwood, out since June 18 with a back strain, threw five scoreless innings in a rehab start for Class-A Modesto on Thursday night, throwing 66 pitches. Chatwood had won five of his six previous starts for Colorado before the back strain forced him out of a 9-6 loss to Miami on June 18.
