Analysis: Complaints were served on the two on Thursday and will be filed Friday in municipal court, police in suburban Rocky River said. Perez and his wife, Melanie, were released on personal bond, police said. Drug agents with a search warrant went to the couple's rental home on Tuesday, apparently tipped off by postal workers suspicious of a package mailed there. Perez has six saves this season but is on the disabled list with an injured right shoulder.

Rocky River Police Chief Kelly Stillman said Wednesday afternoon in a brief statement that investigators suspect they found marijuana in a package sent to the Perez home in suburban Cleveland. The chief says it will be up to the state crime lab to determine the shipment's contents.
Analysis: No one has been arrested. Perez hasn't commented and his attorney hasn't responded to a request for comment. Indians general manager Chris Antonetti says in a statement that the team has "talked with Chris" and is "gathering additional information." The Indians often-polarizing closer has six saves this season, but is on the disabled list with an injured right shoulder.

Analysis: Perez underwent an MRI in Cleveland on Monday, one day after he felt a ``pinch'' in his shoulder while pitching in the ninth inning of an appearance in Boston. The Indians said the two-time All-Star has ``mild'' tendinitis of his rotator cuff. The plan is for Perez not to throw for at least five days and then be re-evaluated. Perez blew a three-run lead in Sunday's game.

He was diagnosed Friday with a strained muscle in his right shoulder, an injury that could sideline him for a month.
Analysis: Perez, who saved 39 games last season, will not throw for the next week to 10 days. Once he resumes his program, the Indians estimate he will be pitching in games in three or four weeks. It is the second straight spring training Perez has been injured. Last year, he was sidelined with a pulled side muscle.
