Analysis: Stewart tweeted that the Cubs were going to leave him at Triple-A all year and said he thought Cubs manager Dale Sveum didn't like him. Stewart later apologized for his remarks. Cubs president Theo Epstein said Tuesday that Stewart violated a loyalty clause in his contract. He is hitting .164 with four home runs in 39 games with Iowa, and has committed six errors at third base. |
