Analysis: Gose has a .227 average for the Bisons this season with five doubles, two triples and two homer. He made his major league debut last season with Toronto, hitting .223 with one homer, 11 RBIs and 15 steals.
5/20/2013 Carlos Ruiz, C (Phi) Ruiz is headed to the 15-day disabled list with a strained right hamstring.

Analysis: Ruiz has a Grade 2 hamstring strain. He has played in 16 games and is hitting .235 with two RBIs.
5/20/2013 Miguel Cabrera, 3B (Det) Cabrera has hit three home runs in a game for the second time in his career.

Analysis: The 2012 AL Triple Crown winner hit a three-run homer in the third inning and a solo shot in the fifth against Texas left-hander Derek Holland on Sunday night. He went deep again with nobody on base in the eighth inning against Rangers reliever Tanner Scheppers. Cabrera, who leads the AL in average and RBIs, also had a single. He was walked intentionally in the sixth inning even though the Tigers already had runners at first and second.
5/19/2013 Justin Grimm, P (Tex) Grimm snapped a three-game losing streak Saturday with a 7-2 victory over Detroit.

Analysis: Grimm (3-3, 4.02 ERA) gave up two runs in 6 2-3 innings after posting a 7.02 ERA in his first three starts this month.
5/19/2013 Anibal Sanchez, P (Det) Texas roughed up Anibal Sanchez in a 7-2 victory over the Detroit Tigers on Saturday night.

Analysis: Sanchez (4-4) gave up a season-high six runs in 2 2-3 innings, his shortest start in almost two years. The right-hander yielded nine hits, walked two and struck out two as his ERA jumped from 2.05 to 2.77.
5/19/2013 Elvis Andrus, SS (Tex) Andrus had a career-high five hits, and Texas roughed up Anibal Sanchez in the Rangers' 7-2 victory over the Detroit Tigers on Saturday night.

Analysis: Andrus scored three runs, had two RBIs and stole a pair of bases as he hit leadoff for the second straight game in place of ailing second baseman Ian Kinsler. Andrus was a home run shy of the cycle and finished off his 5-for-5 game with a single to right in the eighth. Andrus, batting .282, is 23 for 65 (.354) in his last 15 games.
5/19/2013 Tyler Chatwood, P (Col) Chatwood threw into the sixth inning and Wilin Rosario hit a two-run homer off Tim Lincecum in the Colorado Rockies' 10-2 rout of the San Francisco Giants on Saturday night.

Analysis: Promoted from Triple-A Colorado Springs before the game for his second stint with the Rockies this season, Chatwood (2-0, 2.55 ERA) had a shaky second inning but settled in after that and handcuffed the Giants, who managed one run and six hits in 5 2-3 innings.

Analysis: Fowler, batting .268, is 6 for 15 (.400) over his last three games.

Analysis: Rosario, batting .284, has two hits in three straight games. He's homered twice and driven in seven runs over that stretch.

Analysis: Pagan was replaced in center field by Andres Torres. Pagan was hitless in his only two at-bats. He has struggled with just 10 hits in his past 52 at-bats.
5/19/2013 Ryan Howard, 1B (Phi) Howard and Phillies catcher Carlos Ruiz will have MRI exams Monday.

Analysis: Howard didn't play Sunday due to left knee soreness. He will not be making the trip to Miami with the team. Howard, who missed 91 games last season with an Achilles' tear, has four hits in his last 34 at-bats and is batting .245 with 46 strikeouts in 151 at-bats this season.
5/19/2013 Carlos Ruiz, C (Phi) Ruiz and first baseman Ryan Howard will have MRI exams Monday.

Analysis: Ruiz will miss Monday's game at the Miami Marlins after straining his right hamstring Sunday in a 3-2 victory over the Cincinnati Reds. Ruiz, who said he felt a "pop" while running the bases in the second inning, didn't make the trip but hopes to rejoin the team on Tuesday in Miami.

Analysis: The Pirates are being cautious with a day off before starting a three-game set Tuesday against the division rival Cubs.
5/19/2013 Jurickson Profar, SS (Tex) The Texas Rangers recalled top prospect Jurickson Profar from Triple-A Round Rock.

Analysis: Profar was hitting .278 at Round Rock, where he had an eight-game hitting streak. The 20-year-old Profar made his major league debut last season, hitting .176 in nine games.
5/19/2013 Ian Kinsler, 2B (Tex) The Texas Rangers have placed Kinsler on the 15-day disabled list because of bruised ribs.

Analysis: Because Kinsler entered Friday night's game as a pinch-runner, the DL move was retroactive to Saturday, when Kinsler didn't play. The earliest he would be eligible to return is June 2.
5/19/2013 J.B. Shuck, RF (LAA) Shuck had two hits and drove in a career-high three runs in the Angels' 12-9 win over the Chicago White Sox on Saturday night.

Analysis: Shuck, who raised his batting average to .302, is 6 for 17 (.353) over his last five games.
5/19/2013 Alex Rios, RF (CWS) Rios extended his hit streak to 13 games by going 2 for 4 and driving in two runs in the White Sox's 12-9 loss to the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday night.

Analysis: Rios, now batting .302, is 21 for 53 (.396) with five doubles, four homers and 11 RBIs during his streak.
