Giants FB Henry Hynoski needs knee surgery

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) New York Giants fullback Henry Hynoski will have surgery Friday after hurting his left knee in the team's organized training activity.

The three-year veteran was hurt on the second play from scrimmage during an 11-on-11 drill on Wednesday at the team's first OTA. He had an MRI in the afternoon.

The Giants say a doctor examined Hynoski and found two injuries. He'll need surgery to repair the medical collateral ligament and a chip fracture.
