AP Pro32 comments about Bears
NEW YORK (AP) Comments on the Chicago Bears by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
Chris Berman (ESPN, 8) - Need Cutler for SF Monday Nighter.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 5) - Jason Campbell must step up if the Bears have to go without Jay Cutler.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 7)
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 6) - Tough loss to Texans, but Bears could have real issues if Jay Cutler (concussion) remains out of the lineup.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 4) - The bad news: The Bears lost at home to Houston. The worse news: another concussion for Jay Cutler. Can't win without this guy.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 3) - The Bears have already intercepted 19 passes this season and forced 30 turnovers. Chicago leads the league in both categories.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 3) - Now, more than ever, we find out about the resilience of the Bears.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 3) - Deep down inside, their fans know this team isn't the same without Jay Cutler under center.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 4) - A tough loss at home to the now No. 1 team, Houston. The Bears hope to get Cutler back real soon with a road game in San Francisco next up on the schedule.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 3) - The Bears defense played as great as they have all year vs. the Texans. They didn't score on defense, and the offense without a concussed Jay Cutler couldn't either.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 6) - Even before quarterback Jay Cutler was lost to a concussion, the Bears were far too sloppy against a quality opponent like Houston.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 3) - No disgrace in losing to the Texans when the Bears' starting QB is in the locker room.
