AP Pro32 comments about Rams
NEW YORK (AP) Comments on the St. Louis Rams by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
Chris Berman (ESPN, 28) - Defense better, how about offense?
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 28) - Better play from quarterback Sam Bradford is a must for this team.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 31) - Comment currently unavailable
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 31) - One step forward and two steps back. May be that way for awhile.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 28) - Rough day for Sam Bradford, who is beaten to a pulp by the Bears' defense. Never had a chance in this one.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 29) - The Rams are still looking for their first rushing touchdown of the season.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 20) - Tougher and more physical - that's the Rams under Jeff Fisher. They'll be more successful, too, but I make it another year before they join the NFC West gold rush.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 27) - Jeff Fisher growing concerned about the protection racket in front of Sam Bradford.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 31) - Jeff Fisher and his defensive schemes makes this a tough team on opposing quarterbacks but the offense struggles to protect Sam Bradford.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 26) - The Rams and Sam Bradford were overwhelmed by a dominant Bears defensive effort. This Jeff Fisher led team fights incredibly hard and Bradford was playing very well before the Bears front four got to him.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 27) - Despite the defensive betterment under first-year head coach Jeff Fisher, the Rams aren't going to consistently win until the offense catches up. St. Louis never even reached Chicago's red zone in last Sunday's 23-6 road loss.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 27) - Applications are being accepted from anyone who can block. Sam Bradford is good, but he can't do it all by himself.
